It is always the customer's responsibility to contact their local telephone carrier to check the number to insure it is a local call. The Castles Enhanced California Dial-Up Access Network is centrally located in Sacramento, California with data-ports regionally located throughout California that backhauls all Internet traffic to the hub in Sacramento. Caching servers are located in the Sacramento facility that captures and stores frequently visited web sites. When Castles customer sends a request to the Word Wide Web for a web site, the caching server automatically transmits the stored site to the customer - thereby reducing load time. The server automatically checks to determine if a fresher page exists - if so, the new page is pulled and pushed back through the network to the customer while a copy is being stored on the server. This happens in a blink of the eye without the customer being aware of the transition. The Castles modem-to-customer ratio is one of the smallest ratios in the United States almost guaranteeing no busy signals or dropped connections due to an overload of the system. A system of load balancers are used to maintain equilibrium on outbound and inbound Internet connections.
